Our Purpose
Where healing begins in community
Healing the Sacred Thread is an annual festival of resilience, culture, and hope — created by and for the communities served by Casa Madre Center and Amor Latino Counseling.
We gather to honor survivors, celebrate the cultural traditions that sustain us, and raise vital funds for counseling and support services that change lives.

A safe, affirming space for survivors to be seen, heard, and celebrated — surrounded by community and care. This gathering is part of our ongoing commitment to healing, advocacy, and survivor-centered programming through Amor Latino Counseling and Casa Madre Center.
Community Fundraiser
Every contribution directly funds counseling services, crisis support, and healing programs at Casa Madre Center and Amor Latino Counseling.

A Sacred Moment at This Year's Gathering
Ancestral Altar of Remembrance
Honoring those we have lost to violence — through cacao, sound, and ceremony.
This year, the Ancestral Altar of Remembrance comes home to the gathering itself. We open a sacred space to honor the lives of loved ones lost to violence — inviting the community to place prayers, offerings, and memories as acts of healing and remembrance.
Participants are welcomed to create a wooden frame for their ancestor for a donation. Each name and prayer will be honored in ceremony — carried through our Ancestral Sound Bath, Cacao Ceremony, and Meditation on the day of the gathering.
Your donation and prayer invocation serve as your ticket to this sacred gathering — a moment to connect, grieve, celebrate, and remember through sound, song, and love.
